Our Christmas fun

Saturday Dec. 20th, we had our Christmas together with Ben,
Whitney,Shannon,Chris,Abbey,Katie and Jake. Lovely day!

We had a Holdiay cookie exchange at work, sooo much fun!
First cookie exchange I have been to, think this will be a new
tradition with the girls i work with.

My Husband's wonderful BBQ Turkey

Bob, my honey always BBQ's our turkey, which really helps me
in the kitchen, so all I have to do is do the dressing,yams, and all
of the turkey day trimmings. We had a very quiet, but lovely
Thanksgiving... just the two of us. Wish all of my loved ones could have
been there to enjoy, but life is such that they are all going a million
different directions sharing their love with other family members.

My first SUCCESSFUL Pie

I have tried for years to make a good pie, well, this year I finally did it!
This apple pie was WONDERFUL! Finally got the great "do" on the pie
crust -- thanks to my dear friend Sheryl Ladner-- and the apple pie recipe
came out of the Dorie Greenspan cook book, Baking from my home to yours.
I will definately make this again and again!

SANTA DAY

Here is one of my favorite people in the whole world! I
have been personal friends with "Santa" since grammer school,
and I am lucky enough to have him let me sit on his lap every
December, as our office does a customer appreciation and
community service project where we have Santa come to our
conference room and we provide PHOTOS of whoever wants to
sit on Santa's lap.. along with yummy cookies and hot cocoa. There
were a ton of people there and it seemed like a great success!

Lake -- It had to be drained for work on the dam,

What to do with left over Egg Whites

From my homemade ice cream, i had egg whites
leftover...
I made chocolate merinque cookies from
Dorie Greenspans Baking from my home
to yours cookbook. These are crispy on the
outside and chewy on the inside - yummy in
the tummy!

Making Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

I used Fresh Mint leaves to make the intense
MINT flavor for my mint chocolate chip ice
cream

What 3 cups of fresh mint leaves looks like
after steeping in the cream and milk for half an hour.
